Mobile Phones in School

As a rule, we do not encourage children to bring mobile phones, smart watches or tracking devices to school or on school trips.

If children in Year 6 need to bring any of the above to school, it must be switched off and handed in to the class teacher on arrival where it will be stored in a locked box during the school day. Children can collect at the end of the day when they are leaving school.

Volunteers must not use their mobile phones in school. Phones must be kept securely in a bag, not a pocket. If it is absolutely necessary for that device to be used, we ask that it is used in areas where no pupils are present. Under no circumstances should photographs be taken while they are supporting the school as a volunteer.
